.save_config
Use this to save the current
configuration. The current
configuration will save the
current settings of the
following:
Serial port number
Port hardware settings
(baud rate, parity,etc).
Recieve directory
Send directory
Default protocol
Status bar display/nodisplay
flag
Hot key combination
Last dialed number
.save_schedule
Use this to save the list of
files to send, that are currently
in the "Send Setup" list.
.transfer_status
The transfer status page shows the
current status of any files currently
being transferred. It also allows you
to cancel the current transfer, inhibit
the top of screen status bar, and
remove Backdoor from memory.
Warning! Do not attempt to remove
backdoor from memory while currently
executing a program.
.misc_setup
The Misc. setup will let you edit the
current directories for sending and
recieveing files, the current default
send and recieve protocols, and the
hot key to activate Backdoor.
.upload_setup
Uplooad setup allows you to set up files
to be sent to other Backdoor users.
.hardware_setup
The hardware setup will allow you to
change the serial port parameters and
the modem setup string.
.port_no
Enter in the port where your modem or
serial port is. Usally it is 1 or 2.
.baudrate
Enter the baud rate of your modem or
serial port. Typically, its 1200 or
2400. Supported baud rates are:
300
1200
2400
4800
9600
19200
.data_bits
Enter in the data bits for the
intended reciever of the file.
Usally this should be 8.
.parity
Enter in the parity.
O for Odd
E for Even
N for None
Usally, 'N' is used.
.stopbit
Enter in the number of stop bits.
Usally 1 is the number of stop
bits.
.receive_dir
Enter the default directory where you
whish received files to be placed. The
directory must be a full path name. For
example:
C:\BACKDOOR\REC_FIL\
.rprotocol_type
Enter the default protocol to use when
receiving a file.
.send_dir
Enter the default directory where you
whish sent files to come from. The
directory must be a full path name. For
example:
C:\BACKDOOR\SEND_FIL\
.sprotocol_type
Enter the default protocol to use when
sending a file. The following are the
supported protocols:
Xmodem
Kermit
Ymodem
.hot_key1
Enter the first hot key. The first
key must be one of the following:
Alt
Ctrl
Left Shift
Right Shift
This field is toggleable
.hot_key2
Enter the second hot key. The second
key must be of the following:
Escape
Prtsc
Space bar
Caps Lock
Num Lock
Scroll Lock
H
This field is toggleable
.cancel_rx
Enter 'Y' to cancel the current file
transfer
.status_bar
Enter 'Y' to stop the Backdoor status
bar from appearing at the top of the
screen.
.cancel_backdoor
Enter 'Y' to remove backdoor from memory
.fs_gen
To use upload setup, move the
hi-lighted cursor to a blank entry
and press the return key. The month
field of the date will be braketed
with 2 arrows. Use the arrow keys
to move to the field you whish to
modify and then press the return key.
Most of the fields are self expla-
notory. The field before the
telphone number field is for proto-
col type. Enter xmodem, kermit, or
ymodem.
For the filename field when you
enter the filename put in the full
path name. Don't worry if there
doesn't appear to be enough space
as this field will scroll to
accomodate a long path name.
.fs_yr
Enter the year in 2 digits. For
example enter '88' for 1988.
Note: If resultant time is effec-
tivly before the current time, it
will be rejected. So, if your want
to set the time for 1 tommorrow
morning, first change the date then
set the hour.
.fs_month
Enter the month in 2 digits. For
example enter 7 for July.
Note: If resultant time is effec-
tivly before the current time, it
will be rejected. So, if your want
to set the time for 1 tommorrow
morning, first change the date then
set the hour.
.fs_dy
Enter the day in 2 digits. For
example enter 13 for the thirteenth
day of the month.
Note: If resultant time is effec-
tivly before the current time, it
will be rejected. So, if your want
to set the time for 1 tommorrow
morning, first change the date then
set the hour.
.fs_hr
Enter the hour in military time.
For example enter 13 for 1PM.
Enter 1 for 1AM.
Note: If resultant time is effec-
tivly before the current time, it
will be rejected. So, if your want
to set the time for 1 tommorrow
morning, first change the date then
set the hour.
.fs_min
Enter the minutes in 2 digits.
For on the half hour, enter
30.
Note: If resultant time is effec-
tivly before the current time, it
will be rejected. So, if your want
to set the time for 1 tommorrow
morning, first change the date then
set the hour.
.fs_baud
Enter in the baud rate. Supported
baud rates are:
300
1200
2400
4800
9600
19200
.fs_db
Enter in the data bits for the

.fs_par
Enter in the parity.

.fs_sb

.fs_prot

Don't forget to put in any access
codes needed to dial 'outside'.
.fs_fn
Enter in the file name to send.
Please enter in only the file
name. BACKDOOR will then look
for the file in the send directory.
You can change the send directory
in "Misc Setup" from the main
menu.
Also, if you whish to send several
files simply make another entry
in the next line down at the same
time. BACKDOOR will automatically
send that file too, when it finishes
sending the first file.
.terminal
Quick Help:
Alt-d => Dial a number
Alt-e => Echo characters
Alt-g => Capture screen
Alt-h => Hangup phone
Alt-k => Script invocation
Alt-p => Change port parms
Alt-x => Exit

that you can "pop" up on the screen
that will act like a "dumb" terminal.
